Responsibilities:
The Estimating provides the knowledge, skills and experience required to assist the preconstruction and construction department. This position is responsible generating an estimate and then gathering project related information, track, file and distribute the results to construction team and upper management. This position will be responsible for maintaining all construction information, bid information, and project cost data in an organized fashion for use by all members of the project team. The primary functions of the Estimator are as follows:

Estimating Job Responsibilities:
- Upload and download bid documents to internal server.
- Document control: bid documents, addenda, bill of materials, etc.
- Internet research and utilizing other technology/software, as required.
- Calling and emailing vendors for quotes, qualifications, and other information.
- Maintain company database of vendor/subcontractor information.
- Assist in prequalification of vendors/subcontractors, as required.
- Final proposal assembly and bid submission.
- Quantitative takeoff.
- General assistance to accounting and construction team, as required.
- Maintain bid log, bid history, and historical data files.
- Communicate bid requirements for on-time bid submission.
- Coordinating bid review meetings and lead discussions.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects/tasks in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
- Project scheduling experience. (MS Project preferred)
- Superior communication and organizational skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with project teams.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Prior experience with estimating software a plus.
- Experience navigating 3D modeling software.
- Working knowledge of blue prints, isometrics, details, and orthographic drawings.
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate project scope.
- Familiar with project cost data and ability to track margins, costs, and expenses.
- Ability to participate in and understand client bid walks on Production and Midstream Oil & Gas facilities
